Ms. Wakefield is responsible for the strategic direction of the Company and has Sales, Operations and Administrative functions reporting through management to her. Ms. Wakefield has over 15 years of experience in the aerospace and defense, advertising and promotions and investment banking industries. Prior to acquiring a majority stake in Avant in February 2011 Ms. Wakefield was an independent HR Consultant. Ms. Wakefield was the Director of Human Resources at Westar Aerospace & Defense Group, a defense manufacturing and IT services company that provides engineering, technical and logistics services to the Department of Defense. Prior to Westar Ms. Wakefield held management positions at Frankel an international advertising and marketing company and with Dresdner RCM Global Investors, an international investment banking firm.

Mr. Childress is responsible for the Company’s sales, operations and engineering departments. Prior to acquiring Avant in February 2011, Mr. Childress was EVP and CFO of HDT Engineered Technologies, a large defense manufacturing firm. Prior to joining HDT Mr. Childress was the EVP & CFO for Westar Aerospace & Defense Group, a defense manufacturing and IT services company that provides engineering, technical and logistics services to the Department of Defense. Prior to Westar Mr. Childress was EVP and CFO at General Bandwidth, a telecommunications start-up where he raised over $180 million in venture funding. Prior to General Bandwidth, Mr. Childress was EVP and CFO for Tristar Aerospace, a distributor of aerospace hardware and inventory management services, which was publicly traded on the NYSE prior to its acquisition by Honeywell. Mr. Childress also held financial management and consulting positions at Interstate Battery System of America and Ernst & Young. Mr. Childress holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Southern Methodist University and is a certified public accountant.

Shawn Haggerty, Director of Business Development

Mr. Haggerty has over 25 years of experience in the structured cabling systems industry. Mr. Haggerty co-founded Avant in 1995 and was the President and co-owner until the sale of the company in February 2011. Mr. Haggerty has worked on thousands of structured cabling projects of all sizes and types over the past 25 years.

Brent Claypool, RCDD/OSP, Director of Estimating & Engineering

Mr. Claypool brings over 15 years of experience in the structured cabling systems industry. Prior to joining the Avant team, Mr. Claypool was the Operations Manager for Wire to Wire Inc. in Denver, Colorado and an Engineer/Estimator at Netversant Solutions, first located in Orange, California, and then transferred to Centennial, Colorado. He has held management, technical and sales positions at Network Installation Corporation, Lan-Lab Communications and Digital Networks Corporation all of which are located in Southern California. Mr. Claypool is a current BICSI accredited Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) and an Outside Plant Specialist (OSP). Mr. Claypool has installation/design/consulting experience in over 400 Colleges, Schools and Universities as well as Retail, Government and Military disciplines.

Jeff Smith, RCDD, Sales Manager, Colorado

Mr. Smith brings over 19 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry. He moved to Denver from Chicago and attended the University of Colorado at Denver and the University of Phoenix. Mr. Smith began working his career in this industry at Anixter in 1993 holding various positions from inside sales manager, outside sales and major account manager of HP in Colorado. His expertise is in consulting with clients to provide best in class products specific to voice, data and security communications coupled with enhancement services designed to optimize efficiency and productivity. Mr. Smith achieved his BICSI accredited Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification in the continued pursuit of specialized education in the communications industry.
